How long will it take me to complete the course online?

The online course is self-paced, so you can submit your assessments completely at your own pace, however, all assessments must be completed and submitted within 12 months from your course start date.

How many assessments are there to be completed?

There are 18 units in this course, which are broken down into 9 modules.

What methods of payment do you accept for the course? 

Barry Plant Real Estate Training offers a number of different payment solutions based on your needs.

You can pay via Direct Debit, or Credit Card and in some circumstances.

How will I be assessed?

The majority of assessments will be completed online. However, there are multiple requirements for role plays throughout the course. You will be able to complete these in your own time and submit video evidence. 

What are the course fees?

Barry Plant Real Estate Training's Course fees are $1499 AUD.

Barry Plant Real Estate Training Grant eligibility

  • Be an Australian citizen, or an Australian permanent resident.

  • Be under 20 years of age, or,

  • If you are 20 years or over, you are eligible for this grant if the CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate practice (Level 4)  is at a higher level than any qualification you have already achieved. Any prior qualification needs to be a certificate III (Level 3) or lower.

Do you accept recognised prior learning (RPL)  for units I have already completed?

Yes. If you think RPL is a suitable option for you, the first step is to contact your trainer/assessor or our office and have a conversation about whether or not RPL might be suitable for you. Suitability is often determined by how much experience you have in a certain area, your work history, and previous training. If you intend to apply for RPL, please make this known at the time of enrolment and our dedicated training team will reach out to guide you through this process. 

I have previously obtained a qualification overseas, can I use this qualification to work in Victoria?

If you got your qualification outside Australia and are living permanently in Victoria, you can apply to the Victorian Government Overseas Qualifications Unit for a free and confidential assessment to have your qualification nationally recognised. To get more information on this, please visit the Overseas Qualifications Unit (OQU).

Course refunds

All course fees include a non-refundable administration fee of $500. This fee will only be refunded where Barry Plant Real Estate Training is required to cancel a course before it commences due to insufficient numbers or for other unforeseen circumstances. In the unlikely event that Barry Plant Real Estate Training or any third parties responsible for delivering training and assessment on its behalf, is unable to deliver the course or any portion of the course as promised, the student will be issued with a refund for the course or portion of course that was not provided. This includes the following situations: Where Barry Plant Real Estate Training or any third parties delivering training and assessment on its behalf ceases to operate. Where Barry Plant Real Estate Training ceases to deliver the course in which a student is enrolled, and the agreement is terminated. Where Barry Plant Real Estate Training needs to make a change to the terms of the student agreement (such as the way the course is delivered or conditions of enrolment) and a new agreement cannot be reached with the student to account for changes. In any of the above situations, Barry Plant Real Estate Training will automatically conduct a refund assessment of all affected students and issue the refunds due to the Fee Payer accordingly. In these cases, there is no need for a student to make an individual application for a refund. Refunds will be issued within 28 business days.

Withdrawals

Students who wish to withdraw from a course can do so by notifying Barry Plant Real Estate Training using the Application for Refund Form. The application must include the details and reason for the request. Students who have not completed a Withdrawal Form are not eligible for consideration of a refund or reduction in fees. A student not achieving the qualification or unit/s in which they enrolled due to exhausting their attempts at assessment, does not entitle the student to a refund. RPL application fees are non-refundable. Withdrawal applications submitted during the course will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by Barry Plant Real Estate Training, Fee refunds for special circumstances (illness, family circumstances) may be agreed upon, on an individual basis, at the discretion of Barry Plant Real Estate Training. Grounds mentioned below will not be regarded as special circumstances and refunds will not be granted: •Job/career path change •Change in work hours •Inconvenience of training •Moving interstate •Redundancy/retrenchment •Change of mind •Change of general personal circumstances The refund assessment will be based on reviewing the services and/or materials provided to the student and the costs incurred by Barry Plant Real Estate Training in the provision such as: •Information and resources provided •Training provided (e.g. number of meetings/classes/visits etc.) •Individual support provided by the trainer/assessor •Assessments marked or feedback provided (including RPL) The outcome of the refund assessment will be provided in writing to the student’s registered email address within 28 business days, outlining the decision and reasons for the decision along with any applicable refund or adjustment note. Refund decisions can be appealed following our Complaints and Appeals Policy & Procedure. Students that apply for a refund less than 14 days after the course commencement date will receive a 50% refund of course fees paid minus non-refundable $500 administration fee. Students that apply for a refund more than 14 days after the course commencement date will not receive a refund. Students will be automatically withdrawn from the course once the course end date has expired, unless an approved extension has been granted and implemented.
